Naples: A minor was shot in the leg after providing false information to police.

The young man who was shot this morning in Naples gave a false name and surname, as well as a birth date other than his actual one. Only after cross-checking the police did the truth emerge: the victim of the shooting is actually a minor.

The boy had presented himself to the emergency room at Vecchio Pellegrini Hospital with gunshot wounds to his right knee and left leg. He provided false information to the police officers who intervened, likely in an attempt to mislead the investigation and conceal his identity.

The Flying Squad and officers from the San Ferdinando police station are now working to reconstruct the circumstances of the attack and determine the motive. Not only are the circumstances of the shooting, which occurred at dawn in the city, unclear, but also the reasons why the young man chose to lie to the police.

The false identity is a detail that investigators believe could be linked to the boy's previous associations or the context in which the attack occurred. Currently, no avenues have been ruled out, ranging from a fight that escalated to a possible act of intimidation linked to youth crime.

The incident has brought to light yet another episode of violence involving young people in Naples, a city that in recent months has already seen several incidents of roadside assaults, settling scores, and ambushes involving teenagers.
