Tragedy in Forcella, Naples: Woman kills husband during argument

– Another tragedy unfolds within the confines of a home, but this time the victim is a man. Last night, on Via Sant'Arcangelo in Baiano, in the heart of Forcella, a 45-year-old man was killed by his wife during a violent argument.

The woman, who was also injured, was treated and admitted to Pellegrini Hospital with a critical condition due to being stabbed several times. Her life is not in danger, however, and she was interviewed by investigators. She stated that she defended herself after being attacked with a knife by her husband.

The reconstruction of the crime

According to initial reports, the argument between the spouses quickly escalated. The man grabbed a knife and struck his wife, who somehow managed to wrestle the weapon away from him and fight back. During the struggle, she fatally wounded him. There was nothing that could be done for the husband: by the time emergency services arrived, his injuries were already fatal.

Ciro Rapuano, 58, was found dead in his bed, stabbed by his wife. She told the State Police—who responded to the couple's home at the woman's request—that she had also been stabbed by her husband before reacting and stabbing him in turn.

The woman is currently being questioned by investigators from the Naples Flying Squad and a magistrate from the 4th Section (vulnerable groups) of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office . The murder occurred between 2:30 and 2:45 a.m. on Via Sant'Arcangelo in Baiano.

The woman's version is now being examined by the police , who are conducting the investigation coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office. Officers have conducted surveys of the home to precisely reconstruct the sequence of events and determine who is responsible.

The woman in the hospital

The wife, injured during the attack , was transferred to the hospital for treatment. Her condition is not serious, but she will remain under observation, both clinically and forensic. Investigators will have to determine whether it was self-defense or an act of anger amid known family tensions.
