San Prisco: 25-year-old rescued by Carabinieri while threatening suicide

San Prisco – A scary morning in San Prisco, a small town in the Caserta area, where a 25-year-old man kept an entire community on tenterhooks by threatening to jump from the third floor of a building.

Only the courage and prompt action of the Carabinieri prevented a tragedy. The alarm was raised in the early hours of today, when the visibly distraught boy appeared on the windowsill of a third-floor window, announcing his intention to take his own life.

The military personnel of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Company intervened on the scene, and with lightning-fast action and great sensitivity, they initiated a dialogue with the young man.

Thanks to their experience and composure, the Carabinieri managed to reach him and bring him to safety, averting the worst in extremis. Immediately after the rescue, the 25-year-old was handed over to the 118 emergency personnel, who immediately rushed to the scene. Paramedics rushed him to the Sessa Aurunca hospital, where he received medical and psychological treatment.

According to leaks, the young man's actions were motivated by emotional torment, which drove him to a desperate act. The operation, conducted with extreme professionalism, saved a life and allowed the boy to be entrusted to the care of medical professionals and the warmth of his family.
