Fatal illness on the beach in Agropoli: a 78-year-old woman dies on the San Marco seafront.

A peaceful morning at the beach turned tragic in Agropoli, where a 78-year-old woman lost her life after being struck by a sudden illness on the beach along the San Marco promenade.

According to initial reconstructions, the elderly woman, a resident of the Cilento town, was on the shore when she suddenly collapsed in front of other swimmers. Those present provided first aid and immediately called 118.

The medical team arrived on the scene within minutes and began resuscitation in an attempt to save her life. Despite the medical staff's best efforts, all attempts were in vain, and the paramedics declared the woman dead.

The Carabinieri of the Agropoli Company also intervened in the incident, carrying out the necessary investigations to precisely reconstruct what happened and verify the cause of death.

It's currently unknown whether the 78-year-old was suffering from any specific medical conditions. Among the hypotheses being examined by investigators and medical staff is that the high temperatures currently affecting the area may have contributed to her illness, although further investigations will determine the exact cause of death.
