Naples – A bridge between past and future, suspended between the allure of industrial archaeology and the beauty of the Gulf of Naples. For the upcoming Easter holidays, the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa confirms its vocation as a cultural center of excellence by announcing a special opening on Sunday, April 5th and Monday, April 6th.
From 9:30 a.m. to 19:30 p.m., the gates of the Fondazione FS Italiane will open wide to offer visitors not only a tour of the steel giants, but a full schedule of events ranging from collectibles to signature cuisine.
A single ticket for trains and vintage cars
This season's true innovation lies in the fusion of different worlds of transportation. With a single ticket, visitors can also access the exhibition "Vintage Vibes: Passions on Wheels." The exhibition creates a unique dialogue between the imposing steam locomotives and the icons of 20th-century automotive design, celebrating the technological and stylistic evolution that defined Italy over the past century.
History and technology: the immersive experience
In addition to admiring the elegant vintage carriages and flower-lined avenues that run along the seafront, the public will be able to interact with the museum's modern technologies. The tour includes:
Augmented reality: multimedia reconstructions of the legendary maiden voyage of the Naples-Portici line.
Simulation: train driver's stations for the little ones (and not only).
Model making: the large layouts with moving trains that enchant every generation.
Lunch overlooking the Gulf and local flavors
Pietrarsa doesn't forget the pleasures of the palate. For Easter and Easter Monday, Terrazze Pietrarsa will offer special menus that blend tradition and innovation, alongside pizzeria and bistro services. For a quicker but equally charming break, Caffè Bayard will welcome guests among the traditional Vietri majolica tiles, offering a selection of excellent local products.
