Another ATM attack in the province of Avellino. The latest incident occurred shortly after 6:00 a.m. in Vallata, where a group of criminals blew up the ATM at a Bper branch using the so-called groundhog technique.

The explosion struck the ATM located along Corso Kennedy. Carabinieri and firefighters quickly responded to the scene to secure the area and begin investigations after the loud bang woke up nearby residents.

During the checks, the officers also found a second unexploded homemade explosive device near the ATM. For safety reasons, the area was immediately cordoned off while awaiting the arrival of the Carabinieri bomb squad to defuse the device.

The explosion caused extensive damage to the building housing the bank branch. The amount of loot the bandits may have taken before fleeing has not yet been determined. The Carabinieri are currently investigating the incident, gathering evidence to reconstruct the events of the attack and identify the perpetrators.
