Castellammare, Italy: Five ultras in trouble after Juventus Stabia-Sudtirol match.

An evening of football turned violent and intimidating. In Castellammare di Stabia, following the Serie B match between Juve Stabia and Sudtirol, several fans of the visiting team were robbed in the town center. Months later, the investigation led to a breakthrough with the execution of precautionary measures against five Stabia ultras.

The order, issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Torre Annunziata court at the request of the Prosecutor's Office, was executed by DIGOS officers from the Naples Police Headquarters and the Castellammare Police Station, with the support of the Campania Crime Prevention Unit. The suspects are believed to be seriously implicated in an aggravated robbery committed in concert with other individuals on the night of December 7, 2024, a few hours after the match played at the Romeo Menti Stadium.

According to investigators' reconstruction, the Sudtirol fans, who remained in the city after the match, were approached and robbed of scarves, jerseys, and banners. The investigation has provided a solid evidence base, thanks in part to searches that led to the recovery of stolen goods at the homes of six other individuals, who are under investigation for receiving stolen goods.

The attackers' subsequent behavior made the episode even more serious. After the robbery, some images were posted on Facebook, on pages linked to local football hooligan groups, displaying the stolen material as a sort of trophy.

The Naples police commissioner also issued banishment orders (DASPO) against those under investigation, in some cases accompanied by the requirement to report to the judicial police. This measure aims to decisively combat incidents of violence related to the world of football fans, especially when they escalate into actual criminal acts outside stadiums.
