NAPLES – A 17-year-old boy, already known to law enforcement, was hiding a gun with its serial number removed in his home. For this reason, he was arrested by the State Police in the Pianura neighborhood as part of the extraordinary operations organized by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat illegal possession of weapons.
The operation was conducted by Mobile Squad officers during a series of targeted checks in the area. The officers conducted a search of the young man's home, where they found a .320 revolver with no identification, as the serial number was removed.
The discovery immediately triggered the required legal procedures. The minor was arrested on charges of possession of an unlicensed weapon and handed over to the competent judicial authority.
The operation is part of the Naples Police Headquarters' efforts to prevent and repress crimes related to the illegal circulation of weapons, which it has intensified in several areas of the city considered particularly sensitive from a public safety perspective.
