Capri – A constant medical presence in the heart of the island's landing zone to ensure a completely safe summer. The first aid service at the commercial port of Marina Grande officially began on June 1st and will remain active until November 2nd. Capri.
For the 2026 summer season, management of the permanent emergency medical center has been entrusted to the Bourelly Group. The initiative, called "Safe Summer," was created with the aim of strengthening public health protection during the peak tourist season.
The service is structured to respond as quickly as possible to emergencies faced by residents, tourists, workers, and port operators. The station provides for the constant presence of:
A state-of-the-art ambulance
A rescue driver
A professional nurse
The vehicle is strategically located within the Marina Grande Tourist Port, the hub that welcomes thousands of visitors every day. Authorities specify that the service is intended to complement, not replace, the island's regular emergency network, provided by the Naples 1 Centro Local Health Authority (ASL) through the 118 emergency number and the "Capilupi" hospital.
Satisfaction was expressed by the municipal administration, which has been promoting the initiative for several years now.
"The experience gained over time confirms the value and effectiveness of this project," said the mayor of Capri, Paolo Falco. "The service has demonstrated its usefulness on numerous occasions. Maintaining a first aid station in the strategic port area, entrusted to the Bourelly Group, represents a fundamental point of reference for both our citizens and the island's guests."
