This is what happened to Capri, where entering the famous Blue Grotto turned into a nightmare for dozens of visitors. The gravity of the incident is evidenced by the smartphone images recorded by some tourists on board, videos that went viral within hours.

The images show the boats navigating challenging sea conditions. To access the site, the drivers had to wait for the exact moment the waves subsided, calculating an extremely risky maneuver down to the last detail.

Panic on board and tears among tourists

The situation was tense outside, but it worsened significantly once inside the cave. Panic erupted when another vessel entered the cave, effectively blocking the exit and making the evacuation maneuvers incredibly complex. Cries of fear could be heard among the passengers, terrified by the jolts of the boat and the proximity of the rock; one tourist even burst into tears from the fright.

The images, which clearly demonstrate the recklessness of the maneuver, were immediately forwarded to Francesco Emilio Borrelli, MP for the Green-Side Alliance, who has always been active in protecting the land and upholding the law.

Political intervention: "Shine the spotlight on the service"

The parliamentarian was quick to react, formally bringing the matter to the attention of the maritime authorities:

"I have requested an immediate and thorough investigation from the Port Authority into the images shown in this video," Borrelli stated firmly. "We need to understand when it was filmed, whether the weather and sea conditions were right for the boat to proceed, and who the boatmen were who put the passengers' safety at risk."

The MP then noted that the area is no stranger to tensions and management anomalies: "We've had to intervene in the past due to constant brawls between boatmen waiting outside for priority entry. I hope this service, among the most requested in the world, is carefully monitored, ensuring safety and transparency."
