Naples: A car reversing hits two officers and injures a deputy. The National Magistrates' Association (ANM) has said: "Enough is enough."

Naples – A new incident of assault against parking enforcement officers has been reported by Uiltrasporti Campania, which calls what happened this afternoon on Via Filangieri Candida Gonzaga "intolerable." According to Secretary General Pierino Ferraiuolo, during a service to check disabled parking permits displayed on vehicles, ANM staff and local police officers were hindered in their investigation.

The situation escalated when the driver who was being monitored got back into his car and, in an attempt to drive away, reversed, hitting two Local Police officers and an ANM traffic warden.

The worker was injured and received medical treatment. The union emphasizes that it extends its "full solidarity and support for the attack she suffered." "This is yet another case of violence against staff who work every day in the field to ensure compliance with the rules," Ferraiuolo states. "Traffic assistants and all frontline workers at ANM, who are too often exposed to risks, must be guaranteed protection and safety at work.

Urgent measures must be implemented, involving all relevant institutions." The general secretary of Uiltrasporti Campania also calls for those responsible for assaults and violence against public officials to be "firmly prosecuted, so that such incidents are not repeated."
