Villaricca: 19-year-old arrested for possessing burglary tools and the registration document for the Fiat 500 stolen in Naples.

Villaricca – Carabinieri from the Villaricca station have arrested a 19-year-old from Giugliano in Campania, already known to law enforcement, on charges of aggravated theft. The young man was intercepted on Via Bologna while driving a Toyota Yaris.

A few meters away was a Fiat 500 driven by another man. When officers arrived, with flashing lights and sirens blaring, both vehicles accelerated in an attempt to escape. The Yaris was immediately stopped; the 500, however, managed to escape.

Inside the stopped car, the Carabinieri found several burglary tools and the registration document of the escaped Fiat 500. Initial investigations revealed that the car had been stolen shortly before in Naples. The 19-year-old was arrested. Investigations continue to identify and locate the accomplice, who is still at large.
