Capri dedicates the Tragara Belvedere to Peppino di Capri

A special tribute to one of the greatest ambassadors of Italian music. The Belvedere di Tragara on Capri will be named after Peppino di Capri, the celebrated singer-songwriter who passed away on July 11th at the age of 87.

The official announcement came during the final evening of the "Nisciuno nasce 'mparato" event, a humorous journey through Neapolitan history, culture, language, and gastronomy, which enlivened the summer events organized by the Municipality of Capri in collaboration with Capri Spettacoli.

Melania Esposito, Councilor for Tourism and Culture for the Municipality of Capri, announced to those in attendance and the public the beginning of the formal process to dedicate the Tragara lookout point to the great island artist. The event, in addition to honoring the memory of Peppino di Capri, was enriched by the music of Maestro Francesco Cuomo and the special appearance of Elena Vittoria, who contributed to making the evening a moment of great emotion and cultural sharing.

This initiative represents an important recognition for a singer who has brought the music of Capri and Southern Italy to the world, strengthening the link between art, culture, and local identity.
