The Cardarelli Hospital in Naples' supplementary welfare plan for non-managerial staff continues. For the 2025 financial year, 593 applications have been submitted, worth a total of approximately €265, confirming the growing interest among employees in the financial support measures introduced by the company.
The initiative, now in its second consecutive year, provides subsidies, reimbursements, and incentives for workers and their families, with the aim of improving staff well-being and strengthening their sense of belonging to the hospital.
The measures include contributions of €1.000 for the marriage or civil union of an employee or a child, or for the birth, adoption, or foster care of a child. A €10 support package is also available for the spouse of an employee who dies without accruing pension entitlement.
There were also numerous requests for reimbursement. The most requested item was interest-sharing on mortgages for first-time homebuyers, with 199 requests and a €200 contribution.
University tuition reimbursements follow, with 185 requests, providing up to 600 euros for each year of the employee's, children's, or orphan's first degree or specialization.
Other benefits include a €250 reimbursement for public transport passes used to get to work and a contribution of up to €1.000 per year towards nursery school costs for children up to three years old.
The program also includes incentives designed to recognize merit. €1.000 is provided for the employee or a child's first degree, including in the case of deceased employees, and €500 is provided for the high school diploma of employees' children.
"This is a further sign of our commitment to our staff, the result of negotiations initiated with the trade unions last year," said General Manager Antonio d'Amore.
The manager emphasized that Cardarelli was "among the first hospitals in Italy and the first in Campania" to implement a supplementary company welfare system, noting that the number of applications submitted confirms the initiative's validity.
"The goal," he concluded, "is to continue in the years to come with tools that strengthen internal solidarity, foster staff loyalty, and promote employee well-being."
