Fedez is pausing his tour and putting his health first. Just days after being discharged from Humanitas Hospital, the rapper announced the cancellation of all his live dates scheduled for the summer, including his concert at the Assago Forum, scheduled for September 25th.
The decision comes after his recent hospitalization and a particularly difficult period, which pushed the artist to interrupt his professional commitments to dedicate himself to treatment and recovery.
"I can't explain in words what the September concert at the Forum meant to me. I wanted to arrive with a new album, I was working day and night on something I truly loved. I wanted to do something special for anyone who wanted to be there. I don't know why I made this move, and even now as I write this, I'm tempted to throw it all away and say, 'See you in September, no matter what happens,'" Fedez wrote on social media.
Then came the reflection that accompanied the decision to stop: "Then there's reality, a body that has been screaming at me for mercy for years and that I've continually put to the test without ever slowing down. Now I can no longer give priority to dreams, even if it hurts. I would be more irresponsible than I already have been during this portion of my existence."
The tour's cancellation was also confirmed by Vivo Concerti, which explained that the stoppage was due to "the artist's health conditions, which require a period of treatment and recovery."
In addition to the concert at the Assago Forum, the DJ sets and shows scheduled in Adrano, Marina di Ragusa, Serradifalco, Gioia Tauro, Gallipoli, Avellino, Celano, Velletri, and Decimomannu have also been canceled.
In recent days, Fedez had already hinted at the gravity of the situation by describing his hospitalization. "When you're in the hospital waiting for your last blood transfusion, you feel shaky, you think your time is running out, or more or less. Just as another life is beginning, that of your little son. In these days, the fear of not being able to hug the people dearest to me, my children, has made me see the sky differently. Yet again."
Finally, the message explaining his decision to stop: "My body raised its hand for the umpteenth time and told me 'stop.' Now the doctors are telling me, too, and that's what I'll do. But without discouragement, on the contrary. I feel once again lucky to be under this sky."
