Naples: A house occupied for 28 years by the Misso clan has been seized and evicted.

Naples – Yesterday, officers from the Vicaria police station served Celeste Misso, 52, with the seizure order issued by the Naples investigating judge at the request of the Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate, led by Deputy Prosecutor Sergio Amato.

The home, on Vico Donnaregina in the historic center, had been illegally occupied for nearly three decades by the woman and her two children, aged 20 and 29. Following the eviction, the property returned to its rightful owner.

The bond with the clan

Celeste Misso is the daughter of Umberto Misso, who died in 2014, and the granddaughter of Giuseppe Misso, a longtime former boss of the Sanità district. Her husband, Vincenzo Prestigiacomo, was killed in a Camorra ambush on October 30, 2006. The investigation has been delegated to the Judicial Police Section of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Naples.

The alleged crimes

Celeste Misso and her two sons are charged with the crime of arbitrary occupation of a property intended for another person's residence, aggravated by the use of mafia methods. The suspects are also accused of illegally connecting to the electricity grid for five years.
