Qualiano, major raid on public housing: 23 reported for illegal housing and electricity theft.

Qualiano – A large-scale raid this afternoon in Qualiano, where Carabinieri from the local station searched the public housing complex at number 118, Viale Giuseppe Di Vittorio. This extraordinary, high-impact operation, aimed at preventing and combating widespread illegal activity, was conducted with the support of the Municipal Police and Enel technicians.

The investigations resulted in 23 people reported at large. According to the officers' findings, the suspects were not only illegally occupying the apartments in the residential complex, but had also secured their electricity bills, effectively eliminating the costs. They had made clandestine connections directly to the public grid, completely bypassing the network meters.

Roadside checks carried out during the same operation were also cracked down on: law enforcement towed away and seized 14 vehicles, all of which were found to be completely lacking the necessary insurance coverage.
