Naples, a night of violence in Vasto: brawls, shouts, and blood on the sidewalk in Via Genova.

Screams in the night, chaos in the street, and finally a trail of blood left on the asphalt, right at the entrance to a main door. It's yet another nightmarish experience for residents of the Vasto neighborhood in Naples, in the quadrilateral between Via Genova, Via Aquila, and Corso Meridionale.

The latest episode of violence occurred during the dark hours and was fully documented by images sent by a citizen to the Green-Side Alliance MP, Francesco Emilio Borrelli. The seriousness of the incident prompted a State Police patrol to intervene on the scene this morning to conduct the necessary investigations, documenting the scene with photos and videos.

The “outlaw” circle and daily degradation

According to testimonies gathered from local residents, what happened is not an isolated incident, but rather the culmination of a situation of constant degradation that recurs every night. Residents are particularly targeting one local venue, labeled a "squad." The meeting place, frequented by groups of people often under the influence of alcohol and drugs, is considered the main trigger for fights, rowdiness, and tensions that regularly continue until the early hours of the morning.

Institutions raise the alarm: "Checks must be carried out immediately."

MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli spoke out forcefully on the matter, calling for drastic action from law enforcement and the relevant authorities: "Vasto cannot be left in these conditions. Residents report hellish nights, fights, blood on the sidewalks, and a constant climate of fear.

It's not a question of nationality, but of legality, safety, and respect for those who live here. Anyone who commits crimes, deals drugs, or turns the streets into a battlefield must be stopped immediately."

The AVS MP calls for thorough checks on the reported establishment and for a constant state presence in the neighborhood: "If an illegal club exists, it must be identified and shut down without hesitation. We need to monitor permits, alcohol serving, and drug dealing. We can't intervene only after a tragedy has occurred or after yet another person has been injured.

We've been denouncing this emergency for years, along with residents and business owners: we need permanent police stations and evening and night patrols. Residents can't live locked down in their homes: Vasto must be freed from degradation with concrete actions.
