The Pompeii Police Station has executed a precautionary measure against a man accused of aggravated domestic abuse, illegal possession of a weapon, and dangerous explosions targeting his ex-partner.

Pompeii: Man accused of mistreatment and threats with a blank-firing gun placed under house arrest
This morning, officers from the Pompeii Public Safety Commission arrested a man on charges of aggravated domestic violence, illegal possession of a firearm, and dangerous explosions. The order, issued by the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Torre Annunziata Court at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, includes house arrest with an electronic bracelet.
The investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office and conducted by the Pompeii Police Station, uncovered serious evidence against the suspect, who, during and after his romantic relationship with the victim, allegedly committed repeated acts of physical and psychological violence, death threats, and intimidating behavior, even in the presence of the couple's minor child.
In particular, on July 7, the man allegedly fired several blank shots near his ex-partner's home with a blank pistol, to further terrorize the victim.
The judge deemed the precautionary measures necessary to protect the victim well-founded and ordered house arrest with electronic monitoring. The proceedings are still ongoing, and the presumption of innocence applies until a final sentence is reached.
