

Torre del Greco, Nigerian thief arrested
Tensions erupted overnight in Torre del Greco, where a man entered the courtyard of a private home, causing panic and attempting to break into the house.
The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. The perpetrator was a 32-year-old Nigerian man of no fixed abode, already known to law enforcement and an illegal immigrant in Italy.
According to the reconstruction of the Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco Company's Mobile Radio Section, the man, presumably in a state of psychophysical alteration due to alcohol or drug use, entered the courtyard of the home of a 56-year-old woman.
Once inside the private property, he allegedly damaged some garden furniture and then attempted to force open the French doors of the house, trying to enter the building.
Frightened by what was happening, the owner immediately contacted 112 asking for the intervention of the police.
I police They arrived on the scene within minutes, managing to apprehend the man before he could enter the home. The 32-year-old was subsequently arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities, pending trial.
