Extraordinary checks were conducted at Porta Nolana, the Spanish Quarter, and Pozzuoli. Over 320 people were identified.

The Naples Police Headquarters continues to maintain a high level of vigilance through a series of extraordinary services that are affecting some of the busiest and most sensitive areas of the capital and the metropolitan area.

The operations, coordinated as part of the plan to intensify controls established by the Provincial Public Safety Authority, involved officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue, local police stations, and, in some cases, the Municipal Police.

Porta Nolana: Man reported for dangerous escape

Over the past 48 hours, checks have concentrated in the Porta Nolana area, where officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue have carried out extraordinary patrols.

The investigation revealed 53 individuals identified, 17 of whom had criminal records, and 18 vehicles inspected. During the investigation, one individual was also reported for reckless evasion, an incident that confirms law enforcement's focus on behaviors that jeopardize traffic safety and the safety of citizens.

Spanish Quarters: Checks on people and vehicles

Another operation was conducted in the Spanish Quarters, where officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue, along with staff from the Dante and Montecalvario police stations, intensified checks on the neighborhood's streets.

During the operation, 209 people were identified, 51 of whom had previous police records, while 48 vehicles were inspected. This activity is part of the prevention plan developed by the Police Headquarters to strengthen the police presence in areas with the highest influx of residents and tourists.

Pozzuoli: seizures, fines, and vehicles stopped

Checks were also conducted in the Phlegraean Fields area, where officers from the Pozzuoli Police Station, with the support of the Municipal Police, operated in the Arco Felice and Largo Palazzine areas last night.

During the operation, 66 people were identified, five of whom had criminal records, and 23 vehicles were checked. The operation resulted in the criminal seizure of two vehicles, the administrative detention of two others, the issuing of nine traffic violations, and the withdrawal of a vehicle registration document.

Constant surveillance of the territory

The three operations confirm the Naples Police Headquarters' strategy of strengthening territorial control through targeted operations in the most sensitive areas. Overall, the checks led to the identification of 328 people and 89 vehicles, the filing of a criminal complaint, the impoundment of two vehicles, the impoundment of two others, and the filing of several traffic violations. The aim is to increase urban safety and prevent widespread crime.
