"Kill my ex": He commissioned the murder to a former Casalesi boss. Four arrested.

A story that seems straight out of a mafia movie, but it lies at the heart of a sensitive investigation by the Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate. According to the Prosecutor's Office's reconstruction, Vincenzo Russo, originally from Casoria and known to law enforcement, decided to have his ex-partner killed after she reported him for the abuse she suffered during their relationship.

For this alleged crime, yesterday morning the DDA ordered the emergency detention of four individuals. Among them are Vincenzo Russo himself, believed to be the alleged instigator, arrested in Casoria, and Andrea Autiero, 65, the historic leader of the "e Scusuti" clan, believed to be an offshoot of the Casalesi clan operating in Gricignano d'Aversa. Two alleged accomplices, Aniello De Luca and Giuseppe Severino, are also involved in the investigation.

According to investigators, the decision to attack the victim arose after the woman filed complaints against her ex-partner for the violence she had suffered.

The investigations by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate would have allowed them to reconstruct the alleged criminal plan and intervene before the plan could be carried out.

According to the investigation documents, the task of killing the woman was apparently entrusted on April 22nd, the date identified by investigators as the moment in which the execution of the crime was commissioned.

The arrest and the decision of the investigating judge

The measure ordered by the Prosecutor's Office is precautionary in nature and must now be submitted to the preliminary investigations judge for review.

During the validation hearing, the investigating judge will be called upon to evaluate the evidence gathered by the investigators and to decide whether to confirm the precautionary prison measure, replace it with a less punitive measure or order the release of the suspects.

Who is Andrea Autiero?

Andrea Autiero, 65, nicknamed "o' scusut," was released about two years ago after a long detention lasting almost thirty years, part of which was served under the 41-bis regime. He is a historic figure in Caserta's organized crime scene.
In the same proceeding, he is charged, along with the other suspects, with the attempted murder of the woman and two intimidating incidents that occurred in Gricignano d'Aversa: the firing of gunshots at a gas station linked to the mayor of the Caserta municipality and at a tobacco and salt shop.

During the searches the police They also seized approximately €6,000 in cash and a check for €1,000. Autiero, assisted by lawyer Cristina Mottola, is currently being held in the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison.
