

Wanted man arrested by police at Porta Nolana
Naples – He had been missing for approximately two months, after evading his obligation to return to the Poggioreale prison at the end of a day release. His escape ended yesterday evening at Porta Nolana, where State Police officers located and arrested him.
The intervention was carried out by the officers of the Commissioner Vicaria-Mercato were engaged in territorial control operations. During a patrol in the Porta Nolana area, officers noticed the 37-year-old man, who, noticing their presence, attempted to run away in an attempt to evade detection.
The officers immediately began chasing the man, managing to catch up and subdue him despite his resistance. The support of a local police patrol, which intervened to assist during the operation, was also crucial.
The man's behavior led investigators to further investigate his identity.
Database checks revealed that the 37-year-old had escaped from the "Giuseppe Salvia" prison in Poggioreale since last June. According to investigators, he had failed to return to the facility after receiving a release from prison, disappearing without a trace.
He was then arrested and charged with escape and resisting arrest. After the formal procedures were completed, the man was released to the judicial authorities for subsequent return to prison.
