In the fourth annual "Work from Anywhere" Barometer published by the International Workplace Group (IWG), a global leader in hybrid work solutions, Naples ranks seventh in the list of best destinations for 2026.

Analyzing 50 cities around the world, IWG evaluated several key criteria such as climate, culture, housing, transportation, food quality and cost, broadband speed, sustainability and the availability of flexible workspaces. Naples stands out for its balance of competitive costs, with high scores for housing affordability (6.5), excellent value for money for food (8.5), and transportation efficiency (8). Added to these are a significant cultural offering (9) and proximity to unique natural beauty (8), making it an ideal destination for those seeking to combine productivity and leisure.

Bangkok tops the global top ten thanks to its low costs, excellent coworking network, and efficient internet infrastructure. It's followed by Tokyo and Barcelona, ​​both offering excellent security, quality of life, and cultural offerings. Naples, the only Italian city in the ranking, surpasses cities like Lisbon and Seoul, confirming its position as a hub for digital nomads.

Workcation is no longer a simple trend but a growing phenomenon: over half of workers say their company adopts flexible working policies, with 90% reporting an improvement in their work-life balance and 80% reporting an increase in productivity. The ability to work remotely while on vacation is proving increasingly popular, with nearly half of workers planning to extend their vacations this way in 2026.
