Capaccio, a European arrest warrant has been executed for a 41-year-old Algerian man wanted by France.

Capaccio – A 41-year-old Algerian national located by the Carabinieri in Capaccio-Paestum, in the Piana del Sele area, was wanted in Europe. A European arrest warrant had been issued for him at the request of the French judicial authorities.

The man was identified by the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Agropoli Company, together with the military of the Capaccio Scalo Station, engaged in territorial control activities.

The accusations of the French judiciary

The 41-year-old is under investigation in France for aiding illegal immigration for profit, document forgery, and criminal conspiracy. These are charges for which French judicial authorities had ordered his search across Europe.

After being tracked down, the man was arrested pursuant to a European warrant.

Transferred to Fuorni prison

After completing the formal procedures, the 41-year-old was taken to the Salerno Fuorni prison, where he was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority for the subsequent procedures required by the European arrest warrant.
