Police are stepping up security in Grumo Nervano and Frattamaggiore.
Intense territorial control activity took place yesterday in the municipalities of Frattamaggiore and Grumo Nevano, where the State Police deployed an extraordinary operation to strengthen public safety in the area.
Officers from the Frattamaggiore Police Station, who were the protagonists of the operation, checked 88 people, a number that led to the identification of nineteen individuals with criminal records already known to law enforcement. The operation also involved road traffic, with 43 vehicles checked throughout the day.
Of the vehicles stopped, one was subjected to administrative seizure, while in another case the officers ascertained and charged a violation of the Highway Code, resulting in a fine being imposed on the driver.
The service also included a targeted inspection of a legal gaming business. During the inspection, the operators noted the absence of a person formally responsible for collecting bets within the betting shop, as required by industry regulations. For this irregularity, the business owner was reported to the competent authorities.
The operation is part of the periodic prevention and control activities of the territory conducted by the State Police in the area north of Naples, aimed at countering widespread illegality and ensuring compliance with regulations regarding public safety and the exercise of commercial activities.
