The Municipality of Naples has initiated an administrative proceeding to clarify the situation of the Agnano and Ponticelli kennels, ensuring the welfare of the animals involved.

Naples City Council convenes a meeting to address the situation at the Agnano and Ponticelli dog shelters.
The City of Naples has announced the establishment of an internal working group to address the situation at the Agnano and Ponticelli kennels, following the notification of orders that constituted a notice of eviction, not a formal eviction order. The goal is to allow the facility managers to clarify their position within the framework of a formally initiated administrative proceeding.
The Department of Heritage has convened a meeting next week involving all relevant departments to obtain a detailed overview of the situation. Meanwhile, to ensure the safekeeping and care of the animals, the Municipality operates the "La Collina di Argo" facility and has entered into a framework agreement with several accredited kennels in the area.
The municipal administration, committed to protecting animal welfare, has also promoted, together with local associations, the adoption of animals housed in both municipal and private kennels. With the support of associations and the Animal Rights Guarantor, the Municipality intends to identify appropriate solutions for the welfare of dogs housed in the facilities involved in the eviction and regularization procedures.
