Naples: 400 grams of hashish in his pocket: a 34-year-old arrested in San Giovanni

Naples - Late yesterday evening, officers from the San Giovanni-Barra Police Station arrested a 34-year-old man, with a criminal record, on charges of unlawful possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

During a routine patrol on Corso San Giovanni a Teduccio, officers noticed the man, who, upon seeing them, attempted to quickly run away to avoid a checkpoint. The officers quickly intervened, caught up with him, and arrested him.

Following a personal search, the man was found in possession of 40 packages of hashish, weighing approximately 401 grams, and €356 in cash, divided into bills of various denominations. The money, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing, was seized along with the narcotics.

For these reasons, the 34-year-old was declared under arrest by the operating personnel and placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
