Naples and Campania weather forecast for today, August 5th: red-flagged day

Over Naples, the sky will be clear or partly cloudy throughout the day. Temperatures will range from 25-27 degrees in the early morning hours to 33-34 degrees during the hottest hours, while in inland areas of Campania, the mercury could reach even higher values.

Winds will blow lightly from the southwest, providing only slight relief along the coast. The sea will generally be calm, favoring swimming. No precipitation is expected, except for some isolated afternoon clouds over the mountainous inland areas.

Muggy even at night: the "tropical nights"

Not only will the high maximum temperatures make the situation particularly difficult, but also the minimum temperatures, which will remain around 25 degrees, preventing adequate cooling during the night hours.

The so-called "tropical nights" will therefore continue to characterize the climate of the capital and much of the Campania coastal strip, increasing the discomfort especially for the most vulnerable people.

According to the latest updates, the African anticyclone's dominance is expected to begin to weaken only between August 7th and 8th, when a slight drop in temperatures could also affect Campania. Until then, sunshine, stable weather, and intense heat will continue to prevail across the entire region.
