Napoli has officially announced the signing of Badiashile: the French defender will play for Napoli until 2031.

After weeks of negotiations, Napoli has officially completed the acquisition of Benoit Badiashile. The French defender, who arrived in the city on Tuesday evening, underwent a medical at Villa Stuart and signed a contract with the Neapolitan club valid until June 30, 2031. The deal with Chelsea involves a €3 million loan, with €1 million in bonuses and a €27 million option to buy.

This move is a clear signal of Napoli's ambitions and that of coach Massimiliano Allegri, who will finally be able to count on a top-notch center back to bolster a defense currently plagued by injuries. The Tuscan coach could already call up Badiashile for the opening match of the season, scheduled for Saturday evening at the Marassi stadium against Genoa.

Sporting director Giovanni Manna's work continues, exploring the market for further offensive reinforcements. At the top of his wish list remains Gabriel Jesus, the Brazilian striker who hasn't been included in Arsenal's plans, although the deal is still in its infancy and will take time to finalize.

Noa Lang is increasingly close to leaving Napoli, with Galatasaray having re-established contact with the Dutch winger to return to Turkey.
