Primark Pompei
Pompeii – The 500th store worldwide will open tomorrow in the La Cartiera shopping center in Pompeii. Primark, the Irish clothing and homeware brand, is opening its 22nd Italian store, its fourth in the Campania region, in a space of approximately 3400 square meters. Primark maintains in Pompeii all the quality and philosophy standards that inspire its stores around the world.
A simple philosophy that has made the success of the Primark brand, founded way back in 1969 in Dublin, based on sustainability, low costs, inclusivity, employment and community ties.
Approximately 350 employees will work at the La Cartiera store, selected from 2000 applications received in recent months. Next week, another store will open in Giugliano, also in a shopping center, bringing the Campania workforce to 700.
The goal is to expand the offering, always with a view to reducing unnecessary costs through an optimized distribution chain, limiting traditional advertising costs and investing in the attractiveness of large commercial spaces.
During the press presentation, the Pompeii store managers also highlighted the values that inspire the brand, including a focus on people, especially employees: inclusion, teamwork, and an accessible and diverse environment for both customers and those working in the sales cycle.
The brand promotes numerous community projects, starting with the inclusion of disabled people and ex-prisoners, but also pays great attention to women (79% of employees).
And so, even in Pompeii, the brand continues to embrace the motto 'Maximum joy at minimum cost', offering trendy fashion, everyday items, and home accessories at extremely affordable prices.
All with particular attention to the environment, aiming to eliminate plastic packaging and replace it entirely with biodegradable materials by 2030.
The Pompeii store will open to the public tomorrow, September 1st, at 10 a.m. The mayor of Pompeii, Giuseppe Tortora, will be present at the inauguration to strengthen the Irish brand's ties with the Pompeii area and promote a key economic and employment resource.
