Pozzuoli – Via Montagna Spaccata, the road connecting Pozzuoli to Quarto, is now open again. The reopening follows the completion of urgent work to secure a rock face and a building located in the archaeological area.
The road plays a strategic role in connecting the Phlegraean Fields area to the area north of Naples. The decision was announced by the Rescue Coordination Center, convened by the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, following the earthquake recorded on the evening of July 31st.
The prefect expressed his public thanks "to all the agencies and institutions for their extraordinary commitment, working in full institutional synergy." He also reiterated "the need to make every possible effort to further enhance services and minimize inconvenience to citizens."
