Following the seismic events of July 31, checks continue to ensure the stability of buildings and measures to support the population of Pozzuoli, including targeted interventions to ensure port connections.

Pozzuoli, updates on bradyseism: over 200 buildings uninhabitable and measures to ensure maritime transport.
The situation in Pozzuoli remains under close monitoring following the bradyseism that struck the area on July 31st. During a meeting convened by the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, the latest data on ongoing technical and administrative interventions were presented. The Fire Department, with 24 teams deployed, completed 1473 building inspections, finding 215 structures, corresponding to 1081 residential units, to be uninhabitable.
The Municipality of Pozzuoli has issued 367 eviction or interdiction orders, affecting 1391 families, with 3488 people receiving assistance. Of these, most have found independent accommodation, while some are staying in hotels or at the Palatrincone.
Second-level inspections have led to the revocation of some orders, allowing 28 people to return home. Similarly, assessments using the AEDES forms indicate the possibility of re-entry for approximately 40 properties currently undergoing final inspection.
From an economic perspective, the disbursement and payments of subsidies for independent accommodation (CAS) are underway, with 726 families already receiving benefits out of 1207 requests. At the same time, maintenance work is underway on the damaged school buildings, and projects are underway to secure the building on Via Roma, whose vulnerability has led to a ban on heavy vehicles in the port area.
To ensure the continuity of commercial activities and maritime transport from the port of Pozzuoli to the islands of Ischia and Procida, temporary solutions have been identified in agreement with the Campania Region, the Port Authority, haulage associations, shipping companies, and local governments.
These include the rescheduling of connections, with two night trips moved from Pozzuoli to Naples and the replacement of a fast ship with a traditional vessel with a greater load capacity for heavy vehicles, with modified timetables.
The measure is experimental and will be in place for 30 days, during which the situation will be closely monitored, pending an improvement in security conditions in Pozzuoli.
