San Prisco: Man Arrested for Robbing a Woman Who Gave Him a Ride

In San Prisco, Carabinieri officers from the local station arrested a 31-year-old man, a resident of the Caserta area, on suspicion of robbing a woman. The victim, who had offered the man a ride, reported being attacked and threatened during the car ride.

According to reconstructions, the man forcefully took the woman's bag, containing approximately 250 euros in cash, and then left the scene of the attack.

Subsequently, a relative of the suspect returned the bag, but without the money. Immediate investigations by the Carabinieri led to the suspect's location at his home, where he attempted to escape by climbing over the balcony railing. The prompt intervention of law enforcement prevented his escape and led to his arrest.

The stolen money was recovered and returned to the victim. The man was transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, pending developments in the preliminary phase of the legal proceedings. His liability will be determined by a final sentence, in accordance with the principle of the presumption of innocence.
