SuperEnalotto: Record Jackpot Won
Rome – Tomorrow night's drawing could go down in the annals of SuperEnalotto history. If no player matches the entire winning combination, the jackpot would surpass the second-highest win ever recorded in the game's history, a feat made even more remarkable by a coincidence of timing.
It was August 13, 2019, when a "6" worth €209,1 million was hit at the Bar Marino in Lodi, the result of a random €2 bet made using the Quick Pick option. Tomorrow will be August 13 again, and any potential overtaking would therefore come exactly seven years after that win, still the highest ever made by a single player.
The all-time record for total winnings remains that of February 16, 2023, when a €371,1 million “6” was won thanks to Sisal’s “Bacheca dei Sistemi” and split among 90 players, each of whom collected €4,1 million.
That win also closed the longest period ever recorded without a “6”: 635 days, just under 21 months, between May 22, 2021, and February 16, 2023. Currently, the “6” has been missing for 448 days, as reported by Agimeg.
Looking at the geographic distribution of wins from 1997 to today, Campania remains the luckiest region, with 19 total "6"s centered within its territory. Lazio follows, with 17 wins, and Emilia-Romagna comes in third with 13. The only two Italian regions to have never hosted a jackpot remain Valle d'Aosta and Molise.
How to collect your winnings
A 20% withholding tax applies to winnings exceeding €500. Claim procedures vary based on the amount and the gaming channel used:
For winnings exceeding €52.000, the original, intact receipt must be presented within 90 calendar days of the result being published in the Official Bulletin to the Sisal Prize Office in Milan (via Ugo Bassi) or Rome (via Sacco e Vanzetti).
Payment is due within 31 days of the deadline for complaints, if no complaints have been submitted.
The same rules apply to online bets as to physical bets: the winner must present an identity document, tax code, and a printout of the bet details, including the relevant identification code.
Payment is made only after cross-checking the personal details with those registered by the National Totalizer Number Games Concessionaire. In any case, the winner's anonymity remains absolutely guaranteed.
With these figures at stake, Italian bettors' attention is now firmly focused on tomorrow night's draw, which could rewrite the history of Italy's most beloved game exactly seven years after the Lodi coup.
