Natalia Potenza entered the courthouse around 10 this morning accompanied by her sister and a lawyer. Around 20 pm, she left the courthouse through a side exit and took off in a taxi, dodging photographers and journalists outside.

Natalia Potenza answered all the questions the Prosecutor's Office posed, providing details, dates, and figures, as well as her ex-partner's relationships with several key figures in the investigation, from Gomes Clesio Tavares, still a fugitive in Africa, to Sigfrido Ranucci, the victim of the attack and Lavitola's close friend.

In recent days, the woman had revealed that she would make "explosive" revelations, and it appears the hearing met expectations. The hearing could, according to investigators, "develop" further investigative lines in the ongoing investigation into the attack.

Lavitola's former partner in Africa: "I had doubts about the money I was supposed to be moving from Italy. There's no evidence of a carbon credit business in Cameroon."

Benjamin Chimutengo, his African partner, whom the fixer met during safaris in Zimbabwe and who is now at odds with him, also weighed in on Lavitola's business dealings in an interview with Tg1. "If Valter runs a restaurant and a B&B, how did he get this money?" he asks in the video. "I started to have doubts," Chimutengo claims, "about the money I was supposed to be moving from Italy."
