Three people have been reported by the Carabinieri of the Santa Maria a Vico station in the Caserta area, following an investigative effort launched after complaints were filed by two employees of a commercial establishment in the town center.
The military reconstructed the incident through a series of investigations and, above all, thanks to the acquisition and analysis of images recorded by the video surveillance systems present inside and in the immediate vicinity of the store.
Investigations led to the identification of three individuals, all residents of Maddaloni. They are a 22-year-old man and two women, aged 26 and 50, respectively. They have been reported at large to the judicial authorities.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the young man allegedly stole three diving masks inside the shop and then left. During the same incident, the two women allegedly made threatening remarks toward one of the workers.
The evidence gathered through the images and further investigative evidence allowed the Carabinieri to outline the alleged conduct and proceed with charges of aggravated theft and conspiracy to make threats.
The case confirms the role of video surveillance cameras in investigating crimes committed inside commercial establishments, allowing investigators to quickly reconstruct what happened and identify the alleged perpetrators.
The proceedings are currently in the preliminary investigation phase: all suspects are presumed innocent until a final sentence is issued.
