De Laurentiis to Allegri: "Have a good season, Max, keep Napoli entertained."

The ball is rolling again, and a president, on the eve of the league debut, chooses his words to ignite the passion of an entire crowd. Aurelio De Laurentiis addressed Massimiliano Allegri directly via social media, just hours before the away match against Genoa that officially opens Napoli's new season.

"Dear Max, have a great start to the season. Have fun, let your players have fun, and let the Neapolitan fans have fun too." A simple message in form, but far from banal in substance. Because those words convey the president's desire to see a team capable not only of winning, but also of exciting.

The President's wish

De Laurentiis builds his message around a concept well-known in Naples: facing difficulties without bowing. "Naples inspires the feeling of happiness in existing and always facing difficult situations with your head held high, with a great sense of freedom," the president writes.

It's almost a declaration of intent for the upcoming season. Allegri takes over the Azzurri bench with the task of bringing balance, personality, and consistency to a team facing extremely high expectations. And De Laurentiis asks him, above all, to maintain his composure.

«Make the ball fly»

The most evocative passage of the presidential message is the one dedicated to the ball. "Let the ball fly with power and with this flight lighten the burden of those who see you as a panacea for all their problems."

These words also speak to the special bond between Naples and its team. A city that lives football with an intensity hard to match, often sharing its dreams, hopes, and even a portion of its own worries with the Azzurri.

Allegri, therefore, is called upon to be a coach, but also to represent a club that demands results and entertainment. The president asks him to do so with courage, without being crushed by the weight of responsibility.

Now the field speaks

After the messages, the good wishes, and the words of encouragement, however, it will be up to the pitch to provide the first answers. The match against Genoa represents the new Napoli's first official test and, inevitably, will be watched closely by the fans.

De Laurentiis's message is clear: start well, but above all build a team capable of engaging the fans. Because in Naples, winning matters, and how. But when the ball moves, when the team is entertaining, and when Maradona starts dreaming again, football becomes something more.

And so the president concludes his message with two words that serve as a message to Allegri: "Have a good season!" From today, however, the ninety minutes will do the talking.
