Sant'Antimo, drugs and cell phones used for dealing: a 21-year-old and a 16-year-old arrested

Sant'Antimo – An operation to combat drug trafficking led to the arrest of two young men, a 21-year-old and a 16-year-old, by Carabinieri officers from the Giugliano in Campania branch. The officers arrested the two after observing them making a drug deal on Via Saragat, in Sant'Antimo.

According to the reconstruction, the Carabinieri were driving along Via Saragat when they noticed the two young men riding a scooter. The vehicle stopped, a third person approached, and the 21-year-old driver handed him something: a rapid exchange, under the eyes of the police.

After passing through, the two left and headed to a bar, followed at a distance by the officers. Once inside, the Carabinieri stopped them and subjected them to a search.

The search: doses, cash, and "dealing" cell phones

Five doses of hashish, three doses of marijuana, one dose of cocaine, 50 euros in cash—believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity—and two cell phones, which investigators believe were used to organize the deliveries, were found on the 16-year-old.

The 21-year-old, identified as Alessandro Sorvino, born in Frattaminore on February 9, 2005, was arrested and taken to prison pending trial. The minor was also arrested and transferred to the Colli Aminei reception center.

The operation is part of a broader fight against street drug dealing, where the use of mobile phones and rapid contact in public areas represents a recurring method of managing the sales.
