Sparanise: A street fight escalates, with a 37-year-old man also attacking police officers and being arrested.

A street fight escalated late on the evening of September 13 in Sparanise, on Via Abbate Roffredo, and led to the arrest in flagrante delicto of a local man, born in 1989, already known to the police.

According to the reconstruction by the Vitulazio station, the intervention was triggered after the Capua Operations Center was notified of an argument between the 37-year-old man and a 26-year-old Albanian citizen, also a resident of Sparanise. The Carabinieri, who arrived promptly, identified those present and attempted to defuse the situation.

But the 37-year-old, clearly in a state of distress, reportedly repeatedly refused to provide his personal details and displayed agitation, even attempting to attack the 26-year-old again. Despite repeated pleas for him to calm down and the presence of 118 medical personnel who had already intervened, the situation further escalated.

The man allegedly broke the rear window of the young man's car and, after picking up an empty glass bottle from the ground, threw it at the Carabinieri, grazing one of the officers in the head. The officers intervened to restrain and immobilize him, subsequently arresting him red-handed for resisting arrest and assaulting a public official.

Following the completion of the formal procedures, the arrested man was placed under house arrest at his home, at the disposal of the judicial authorities, pending the summary hearing. The matter is under judicial review; the arrested man's position will be determined in the subsequent phases of the proceedings, in compliance with legal guarantees and the presumption of innocence.
