Afragola, man arrested for alleged abuse of 14-year-old granddaughter
Afragola – He allegedly took advantage of moments when he was alone at home to sexually abuse a 14-year-old girl, a relative of his. A 41-year-old married man, father of a family, living in a municipality north of Naples, was arrested and transferred to prison on the orders of the preliminary investigations judge of the Naples North Court.
The case came to light thanks to the attentiveness and determination of the teenager's mother. She had noticed a sudden and alarming change in her daughter's demeanor, as she appeared increasingly frightened, withdrawn, and visibly shaken. Faced with unmistakable signs of emotional distress, the parent decided to contact the authorities and file a detailed complaint.
The investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of North Naples, headed by Prosecutor Domenico Airoma, was launched immediately to verify the story and establish the facts. The in-depth investigations ordered by the magistrates have allowed them to gather serious evidence against the suspect, confirming the situation described in the complaint.
Based on the findings, the Prosecutor's Office requested the application of a coercive measure, which was accepted by the investigating judge, who ordered the suspect's pre-trial detention in a penitentiary institution to prevent the risk of repetition of the crime and protect the victim's integrity.
