Aversa – It was a busy night in Aversa, where Carabinieri officers from the local station arrested a 53-year-old man, a resident of Frignano and already known to law enforcement, who is considered a serious suspect in the crime of robbery.
The operation took place shortly after a robbery on Via Gramsci, near a commercial establishment. According to the immediate aftermath, the man, who was apparently under the influence of alcohol, threatened a 52-year-old woman with a box cutter, stealing her cell phone.
The victim immediately raised the alarm, contacting the Carabinieri. Officers from the local station were in the area and responded quickly. After obtaining a description of the alleged perpetrator, the Carabinieri began a search in the immediate vicinity, managing to locate and arrest him not far from the scene of the robbery.
Following the investigation, the man was arrested and, after the usual formalities, taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he remained at the disposal of the judicial authorities pending the validation hearing.
The suspect remains presumed innocent until a final sentence is issued.
