A young local man, born in 2004, was arrested late yesterday evening in Aversa on charges, according to the current state of the case and subject to the presumption of innocence until a final sentence, of possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
The incident occurred during a territorial patrol conducted by the Carabinieri of the Aversa Company's Mobile Radio Section. The officers were patrolling the city's main thoroughfares when, on Viale Europa, they spotted the 22-year-old man on a Piaggio Beverly 500 with his girlfriend.
Upon seeing the car radio, according to the military's reconstruction, the boy attempted to quickly drive away. However, his escape ended a few moments later, when the Carabinieri reached the vehicle and detained the two occupants.
During the maneuver, the scooter reportedly hit the car radio's bumper, causing minor damage. No one was injured, and the two refused treatment from the 118 emergency personnel who responded to the scene.
The investigation continued with a search of the young man and his vehicle. Officers allegedly found 1,39 grams of crack cocaine, divided into four packages, 0,88 grams of cocaine in three packages, and 4,57 grams of hashish, also divided into three packages. They also found €228,85 in cash.
After the formal procedures were completed, the 22-year-old was arrested. He was escorted to his home and placed under house arrest, pending a validation hearing before the competent judicial authority.
