In the photo, a detail of the story.
The Bari Public Prosecutor's Office has withdrawn its request to initiate liquidation of SSC Bari SpA. This decision follows the financial commitment made by the parent company, Filmauro Srl, which has outlined a financial support plan deemed sufficient by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The application for judicial liquidation was filed on July 7, 2026, and the hearing before the Civil Court of Bari, initially scheduled for October 1, was supposed to decide on the company's possible bankruptcy and the appointment of a liquidator.
The resolution passed by Filmauro's board of directors on September 24 changed the situation. The parent company committed, through an "irrevocable" and "directly addressed to creditors" deed, to guarantee a maximum total amount of €11.1 million, corresponding to the current operating requirements forecast in the treasury budget for the 2026/2027 season.
The commitment also includes the obligation to supplement the funds within sixty days of the approval of the 2027/2028 budget if actual needs exceed the allocated amount.
The methods of disbursement of the resources, which are set with precise deadlines, are also crucial. €2 million is expected by October 31, 2026, and €1 million by the last day of each month from November 2026 to June 2027. These sums are in addition to the €1,1 million tranche already paid on July 30.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, the financial support agreement of September 24 "implements, in substance and form, the conditions indicated by the Office." According to the prosecutors, SSC Bari's creditors now have a "determined, fixed, and non-deferred" resource they can rely on.
According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, business continuity is thus "protected for the benefit, and not at the expense, of the creditors." Hence the decision to abandon the request for judicial liquidation.
The Prosecutor's Office, however, clarified that the withdrawal is solely related to events that occurred during the proceedings. The documents emphasize that the decision "does not imply any reassessment of the grounds for the claim at the time it was filed, nor acquiescence to the defendant's defense arguments."
A new phase begins for Bari on a corporate and financial level, following the risk of liquidation that emerged in recent months. The support guaranteed by the parent company now allows them to face the season with clear resources and deadlines.
