SSC Bari: Equity returns to positive territory thanks to €23 million in investments, the club prepares its legal defense.
The hearing before the Bari Court to examine the request for liquidation due to insolvency of SSC Bari, a company owned by the De Laurentiis family, has been postponed to October 1st. The request was made by the Bari Prosecutor's Office following the club's relegation to Serie C.
The postponement came at the request of prosecutor Roberto Rossi and deputies Ciro Angelillis and Milto De Nozza, who requested additional time to analyze the defense brief and the expert opinion submitted by the lawyers of Luigi and Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The team representing the club is composed of lawyers Roberto Eustachio Sisto, Gino Fulgari, Ugo Patroni Griffi, and Mattia Grassani. Bari's defense maintains "the absence of insolvency" and has documented, according to the documents filed, full coverage of past losses and commitments related to the recently begun football season.
The Prosecutor's Office disagrees, alleging a financial situation characterized by accumulated losses of approximately €30 million between 2019 and 2025. The matter also has criminal implications. Luigi and Aurelio De Laurentiis are under investigation for false corporate communications, relating to the company's 2024 financial statements, and for fraudulent bankruptcy.
The hearing on October 1st will therefore be an important step in clarifying SSC Bari's financial situation and evaluating the evidence presented by the parties before the Court.
