Carabinieri checks in Mondragone
Carabinieri from the Caserta Provincial Command, along with members of the Labor Inspectorate and the NAS (National Police) unit, seized approximately 50 kg of meat products during inspections conducted yesterday morning at a restaurant in Mondragone. The legal representative responsible for the establishment has been charged at liberty.
During the inspection, the employment of an illegal worker was discovered, resulting in a massive fine of €3.900 for undeclared work. Workplace health and safety violations were also identified, including the failure to provide preventive medical checkups and the failure to train two workers, for which fines totaling €3.274 were imposed.
For food safety, the NAS contested an administrative fine of 2.000 euros for failure to implement self-monitoring procedures.
The administrative seizure involved approximately 50 kilograms of meat products, which did not comply with current regulations.
The activities are part of a series of coordinated controls to protect workers' rights, workplace safety, and public health. The judicial and administrative authorities have been informed to take appropriate action.
