Fire in Portici: 70-year-old woman taken to hospital, investigation underway

Portici – Carabinieri from the Portici station responded to a fire at Via De Nittis 1, assisted by firefighters and emergency personnel. A fire had broken out shortly before in an apartment: the cause is currently being investigated.

Inside the home, a 70-year-old woman was taken to Cardarelli Hospital in Naples, where she is currently hospitalized; her life is not in danger.

The fire has been extinguished, and no further details have been released regarding any damage or other people involved. The Carabinieri are continuing their investigations to determine the source of the flames.
