Marijuana plantation discovered in downtown Benevento

Finance police from the Benevento Provincial Command discovered a marijuana plantation inside a home in the city center. Twenty-six plants were identified in the garden, some over three meters tall, in an advanced stage of growth and flowering. The person responsible was arrested in flagrante delicto; he is currently under house arrest.

The blitz in the heart of the capital

The operation was led by the Mobile Section of the Economic and Financial Police Unit, which is also dedicated to preventing and suppressing drug-related crimes. The PEF Unit officers identified the crop in the garden of a home located in the center of the Sannio capital.

Planting in the garden

In addition to the 26 marijuana plants, some of which were over three meters tall, the finance police seized fertilizers, precision electronic scales, and cash. During the search, several doses of cocaine were also found.

The arsenal and the drugs

The perpetrator also had three rifles that had not been reported to the Public Security Authority and a katana. The weapons, drugs, and cultivation materials were seized.

Arrest and house arrest

The man was arrested in flagrante delicto and placed under house arrest. He is presumed innocent until a final conviction is issued.
