Naples: Minors stabbed in Cumana: 17-year-old arrested

The escape of the minor believed to be responsible for the assault on an EAV train lasted less than 48 hours. The State Police have arrested the young man, who is seriously suspected of attempted aggravated murder.

Law enforcement intervention was triggered following the stabbing of two minors. Officers from the Office for General Prevention and Public Rescue and Section IV of the Flying Squad arrived on the scene and reconstructed the circumstances of the attack—which had arisen for trivial reasons—and immediately launched an investigation.

Investigative efforts quickly identified the alleged perpetrator, who was located and taken into custody by the Judicial Police overnight. The young man is now awaiting a judicial validation hearing, while investigations continue to determine the presence of any possible accomplices.
