Naples: 47-year-old illegal immigrant arrested for possession with intent to sell during a drug deal in Vicaria-Mercato.
This morning, the State Police, as part of operations organized by the Vicariate-Mercato Police Station, intercepted a drug trafficking operation. Officers, traveling along Via Luigi Serio, at the corner of Via Toscano, noticed a man giving something to another person in exchange for money and intervened accordingly.
The operation resulted in the arrest of both parties: the alleged dealer, a 47-year-old man with an illegal immigration status and a criminal record, was found in possession of a package containing cocaine and 95 euros, divided into bills of various denominations. At the same time, the buyer was found in possession of the cocaine he had just purchased.
For these reasons, the man was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to distribute. The buyer was fined for unlawful possession of narcotics for personal use. The entire operation is part of targeted drug enforcement operations in the city's central areas, with further investigations continuing to determine any links between the individuals involved.
